Peters Medical Research welcomes  Dr Chuang and Mike Duran, PA-C to our team, opening the door to new cardiology studies. In office services such as Nuclear stress testing, Echocardiograms, Vascular Ultrasounds, and Holter Monitors allow for our patients to participate in studies that are time efficient and our pharmaceutical partners access to fast accurate data.

Mei-Yu Eric Chuang, M.D., Ph.D. – Cardiologist Serving the Triad since 2010

Eric Chuang, MD, PhD went to the National Taiwan University in Taipei, Taiwan as an undergraduate and was awarded his medical degree by the Louisiana State University School of Medicine, where he earned his doctorate in Physiology as well as a certification in Lipidology. His internship and residency training were served at the University of California in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.Dr. Chuang is North Carolina Board Certified in Internal Medicine and specializes in Cardiology. His professional affiliations also include his Fellowship of American College of Cardiology, Fellowship of the Society of Cardiovascular - Angiography and Interventions, as well as Federated Ambulatory Surgery Association. Dr Chuang has extensive research experience and serves as a PI and Sub-I for Peters Medical Research. Dr Chuang has been trained in and follows all GCP guidelines.

Michael Duran, PA-C - Internal Medicine and Cardiology Serving the Triad since 1982

Michael Duran received his ADS in Respiratory Therapy from Manchester Community College before attending Hahnemann Medical University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree as a Physician Assistant. Certified by National Board of Medical Examiners, Michael Duran is highly skilled to provide you with the highest standard of care. He maintains professional affiliations with the North Carolina Medical Society, American Association of Physician Assistants, Fellowship of Christian Physician Assistants and the Guilford County Physician Extenders just to name a few. Mike, also has extensive research experience and serves as a Sub-I for Peters Medical Research. Mike has been trained and follows GCP guidelines for Human research.
